Holy Trinity Grenache Shiraz Mourvedre 2019

@grantburgewines The Holy Trinity is named after the church in Lyndoch in the heart of the Barossa. ⛪️ 

Of course it also references the holy trinity of red Rhone varieties 🇫🇷 #grenache#shiraz and #mourvedre . It’s one of Australia’s most famous GSM’s and not without reason!

#grantburge ‘s veteran winemaker Craig Stansborough has crafted a full bodied wine in 2019 true to it’s Barossa origins with bright raspberry flavours from the Grenache but with high quality tannins and firmness from the other varieties in the blend. 🍇

It’s a wine that’s easy to enjoy but there’s also plenty of detail with mineral and liquorice complexity for wine drinkers that like to sip and savour.🍷

Filsell Shiraz 2019

The Barossa Valley is Australia’s most famous and largest producing fine wine region.🇦🇺

Shiraz is king here and @grantburgewines Filsell Shiraz is a well known bottle. The grapes come from 💯 year old vines in the Filsell Vineyard. Also the source of #grantburge Meshach , Filsell’s big brother , one of Australia’s greatest Shiraz.🍇

Filsell 2019 is in the classic regional style- purple to black in colour, full bodied , dark fruited but Winemaker Craig Stansborough’s style shows restraint. 

Seen in the use of moderate levels of new French and American oak and not picking when overripe. 🍷

So you get regional intensity of flavour but also fine lines of detail and just a little gnarl of tannin from the old vines.

I have a few Filsell’s cellaring as this wine has the bones to age very well.

Grant Burge Nebu Cabernet Shiraz 2018

Sometimes less is more….. there’s nothing overblown or showy about Nebu 2018, @grantburgewines icon Cabernet Shiraz blend.

2018 was a great vintage across Australia 🇦🇺 with just the right amount of sunshine and rain to allow winemaker Craig Stansborough to produce a balanced wine of appeal now but without sacrificing long term potential.🍇

Elegant Cabernet plays the dominant role, impeccable tannins, a pinstripe suit! Shiraz adds juicy exuberance and softens things up.🍷

As with #grantburge wines top Shiraz Meshach , Craig has made a subtle wine that is powerful (as you’d expect from Barossa) but thoughtful and refined.

This is just the 3rd release of Nebu, so it’s a new addition to the #grantburgewines stable. But a worthy one.

It really doesn’t get much better than this! 👌
